Si esta prueba es positiva, debe consultar a un m\u00e9dico para recibir atenci\u00f3n y tratamiento de la hepatitis C.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tratamiento para la hepatitis C<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Si bien no existe una vacuna para la hepatitis C, existen varios medicamentos para tratar la hepatitis C que son altamente efectivos y tienen menos efectos secundarios que las opciones anteriores. La hepatitis C se puede curar a trav\u00e9s del tratamiento con un proveedor. Seg\u00fan su historial m\u00e9dico, examen f\u00edsico, laboratorio y otros resultados de pruebas, su proveedor de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica le sugerir\u00e1 qu\u00e9 medicamentos son adecuados para usted. If the antibody test is positive, it means that you may have been exposed to the hepatitis C virus at some point in your life. The antibody test does not show whether or not you still have the virus in your body. For some people (about 15-25%), the body\u2019s natural defenses get rid of the virus while others will continue to carry the virus in their bodies. An additional RNA test is needed to confirm a positive hepatitis C antibody test result. This test is called a RNA test or PCR test. If this test is positive, you should see a doctor for hepatitis C care and treatment.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:heading -->\r\n<h2>Treatment for Hepatitis C<\/h2>\r\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>While there is no vaccine for hepatitis C, there are several medications to treat hepatitis C that are highly effective and have fewer side effects than previous options. Hepatitis C can be cured through treatment with a provider. Based on your medical history, physical exam, laboratory and other test results, your health care provider will suggest which medications are right for you.
