Abner fue miembro de la fuerza laboral que recibi\u00f3 el prestigioso Premio Samuel Crumbine a la Excelencia en Protecci\u00f3n de Alimentos en 2018. Abner contin\u00faa protegiendo a su comunidad contra las enfermedades que est\u00e1n presentes en el entorno cotidiano a trav\u00e9s de la educaci\u00f3n y la defensa. Abner se compromete a mejorar el problema de las enfermedades infecciosas a escala mundial. Abner naci\u00f3 y se cri\u00f3 en El Paso, TX, donde obtuvo su Licenciatura en Ciencias en Bioqu\u00edmica Celular y Molecular de la Universidad de Texas - El Paso. Despu\u00e9s de algunos a\u00f1os de trabajar en el campo de la salud p\u00fablica, obtuvo su Maestr\u00eda en Salud P\u00fablica en Administraci\u00f3n de Servicios de Salud de la Universidad de Arizona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Datos curiosos: Cuando no est\u00e1 sirviendo a su comunidad, a Abner le gusta boxear, ir al cine y pasar tiempo con sus amigos y familiares.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Eduardo <\/strong>comenz\u00f3 su carrera en salud p\u00fablica como l\u00edder del equipo de prevenci\u00f3n del VIH para el Departamento de Salud P\u00fablica del condado de San Mateo (California), donde trabaj\u00f3 durante un per\u00edodo de 12 a\u00f1os desde finales de 2006 hasta 2018 y se uni\u00f3 al equipo de ADHS en enero de 2022. Antes de 2006, Eduardo ocup\u00f3 cargos como especialista del programa de Oportunidades de Vivienda para Personas con SIDA (HOPWA) y consejero de beneficios que atendi\u00f3 a personas y familias afectadas por el VIH\/SIDA. Lema: Est\u00e1ndar<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hechos divertidos: Era un paracaidista que salt\u00f3 de aviones perfectamente buenos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Mayra <\/strong>comenz\u00f3 su carrera profesional en salud p\u00fablica en 2009, donde trabaj\u00f3 en el Departamento de Salud P\u00fablica del Condado de Maricopa como Secretaria de Registros M\u00e9dicos. Su amor por la salud p\u00fablica hizo de las promociones un movimiento familiar. Esto la llev\u00f3 a un puesto en Vigilancia donde coordin\u00f3 las actividades de vigilancia de ETS para el condado de Maricopa. En 2011 asumi\u00f3 el cargo de investigadora de enfermedades transmisibles (CDI), donde realiz\u00f3 investigaciones de VIH, s\u00edfilis, gonorrea y clamidia. Sin embargo, ella no se detuvo all\u00ed. Continu\u00f3 desarrollando sus habilidades y en 2016 acept\u00f3 un puesto como CDI Senior. Fue responsable de realizar investigaciones de casos complejos y brindar capacitaci\u00f3n\/tutor\u00eda para el nuevo personal de CDI, lo que le brind\u00f3 las habilidades transferibles para hacer la transici\u00f3n a un puesto en ADHS como coordinadora DIS de VIH\/ETS.
