STIs

Sexually Transmitted Infections

STIs, ALSO KNOWN AS STDs, ARE VERY COMMON

Chlamydia continues to be the most frequently reported STI in Arizona, followed by gonorrhea and syphilis.

Arizona currently has a statewide outbreak of syphilis, and medical providers are seeing the largest increase of syphilis cases in women and newborns. Pregnant women are recommended to discuss their risk with a health care provider and get tested. Getting timely testing and treatment can reduce negative health outcomes for mother and baby.

Learn more about STIs by visiting the ADHS STI Control page, or reviewing local STI data trends and reports.

STI testing and treatment are available throughout the state. Check out the Service Directory or the ADHS Find a Clinic page to find STI testing near you!
