Preventing HIV is critical. Good news – there are more ways to do so than ever. Did you know there are effective ways to prevent HIV before, during and after sex?

PrEP is a pill taken daily to prevent HIV.

Condoms are effective prevention used during sex.

PEP also prevents HIV – it’s a pill taken after possible exposure.

And there are other ways to effectively prevent HIV: Limit your number of sexual partners. Have less risky sex. Know your partner’s HIV status. Never share needles. Understand Undetectable = Untransmittable.

When used correctly and consistently, condoms are extremely effective at preventing HIV infection as well as other STDs.
